Policies & Disclosures
Late Policy
According to Rescue Plan Enterprise guidelines, Rescue Plan Enterprise instructors will not admit any student who arrives more than 20 minutes after the scheduled course start time, for any reason. This policy is strictly enforced to preserve course integrity, safety, and timing for other participants.
● Please arrive early. Plan to arrive at least 10–15 minutes before the scheduled start time to complete sign-in and pre-class checks.
● No exceptions. Students arriving after the 20-minute cutoff will be turned away.
● No refund or transfer. If you miss your class due to late arrival, you will not be eligible for a refund, transfer, or compensation. You will be required to register and pay for a new course to receive certification.
● If you have an emergency, please contact our office as soon as possible; while the policy stands, we will note the incident and may advise on rebooking options (standard fees apply).
Course Policy
Rescue Plan Enterprise reserves the right to change, cancel, or relocate any course with reasonable notice to the client, or in the case of an emergency or a force-majeure event.
● Reasonable notice. When feasible we will provide advance notice of schedule changes, cancellations, or location changes and offer alternative dates or locations where available.
● Emergency & force majeure. In the event of unexpected incidents (severe weather, public health directives, instructor illness, venue issues, or other force-majeure events), courses may be cancelled or relocated on short notice for safety and regulatory compliance.
● Customer options. If Rescue Plan Enterprise cancels a course, students will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to transfer to a rescheduled session without penalty. If a course is relocated, we will provide the new location details and logistic instructions as soon as possible.
Examinations
All in-person safety training courses include a multiple-choice exam. Please review the following guidelines and requirements carefully:
● Assessment platform. Exams are completed digitally through the Rescue Plan Enterprise Assessment Application.
● Registered email. When completing the exam, students must use the same email address used during registration. This ensures exam results and certificates are correctly matched to each participant.
● Passing score. A minimum score of 75% is required to pass the course.
● Re-examination fee. If a student fails their exam, a $19.99 re-examination fee applies for each re-attempt.
● Certificate issuance. Certificates are issued only once all course components have been completed:
In-class practical skills session
Online modules (if applicable / blended courses)
Final examination (digital)
● Payment methods. Payments for courses and any re-examination fees may be made via PayPal, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
● Record keeping. Rescue Plan Enterprise maintains training and exam records in accordance with applicable regulatory and privacy requirements. Contact our office to request proof of completion or replacement certificates.
Health & Physical Activity Disclaimer
Your health and safety are important to us. Please inform your instructor at the beginning of the course if you answer YES to any of the following questions or if you have concerns about your physical abilities:
1 ● Has a doctor ever told you that you have heart trouble or high blood pressure?
2 ● Do you have bone or joint problems that may worsen with activity?
3 ● Do you have any medical conditions or take medications that could affect your participation?
4 ● Do you have any disabilities that may limit your ability to perform hands-on skills, kneel, or navigate stairs?
● Notify us immediately. If you answer yes to any question or have other health concerns, please contact our head office as soon as possible by replying to the registration confirmation email or calling our business line. We will advise whether any medical clearance is recommended and discuss accommodations.
● Medical consultation recommended. For most individuals, the physical activity required in the course is low risk. However, participants with a history of heart or respiratory problems, pregnancy, significant musculoskeletal injuries, or other serious medical conditions should consult a physician before participating.
● Participation-only option. If you choose to remain in the course but are unable to perform all required hands-on skills, you may receive a participation-only certificate rather than full certification. This reflects participation in the course but does not indicate successful completion of all practical competencies.
● Duty of care. Rescue Plan Enterprise instructors will ensure a safe learning environment and may modify or exclude strenuous skill demonstrations for participants whom they reasonably believe are at risk.
Notice of Photography
By registering and attending this training, the customer grants Rescue Plan Enterprise and its authorized representatives permission to photograph or capture screenshots (including in virtual/online programs).
● Use of images. Photographs, video, and screenshots may be used for promotional materials, marketing, social media, training documentation, or to demonstrate Rescue Plan Enterprise programs and events.
● Opt-out. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please advise the instructor at the beginning of the session and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request (e.g., position you out of frame or avoid close-ups). Please note that group settings may limit our ability to guarantee full exclusion from all images.
Email & Text Opt-In
By registering for a safety training course with Rescue Plan Enterprise, you consent to receive email and text communications related to your training.
● Types of communications. These communications may include registration confirmations, course updates, reminders, digital certificates, safety resources, and occasional promotional messages.
● Opt-out. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying “STOP” to a text message or by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Operational messages essential to your course (e.g., confirmations, cancellations, certificate delivery) will still be sent to ensure course delivery and compliance.
Personal Data
To learn more about how Rescue Plan Enterprise collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data, please refer to the Privacy Policy on our website.
● Privacy Policy availability. Our full Privacy Policy explains data retention periods, legal bases for processing, third-party processors (if any), and your rights regarding access, correction, and deletion of personal information.
● Contact for privacy requests. If you have questions about your personal data or wish to exercise your privacy rights, please contact Rescue Plan Enterprise through the contact methods listed on the Privacy Policy page.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
● No refund will be provided for cancellations made less than seven (7) days before the course or for no-shows.
● A $100 + HST cancellation fee applies for cancellations made seven (7) or more days in advance.
● How to cancel
To cancel, you must send a written cancellation request to our office via email at the contact address listed on your booking confirmation
(subject line: “Cancellation Request — [Course Name] — [Participant Name]”).
Phone cancellations are accepted for notice only but must be followed up with the written email to be processed.
The cancellation date is the date the written email is time-stamped in our system.
● Refund calculation & timing
For cancellations made seven (7) or more days before the scheduled course start date: a $100 + HST cancellation fee will be retained and the remaining paid amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
For cancellations made less than seven (7) days before the course start date, or for no-shows, no refund will be issued.
Refund processing typically occurs within 7–14 business days from the date the cancellation is confirmed. Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at registration. If the original payment method is unavailable, we will contact you to confirm an alternate method.
Example
If you paid $300 for a course and cancel 8 days before the start date, Rescue Plan Enterprise will retain $100 + HST and refund the balance (e.g., $300 − $100 − HST = refunded amount; exact HST totals will be shown on your cancellation receipt).
Transfers & rescheduling
If you wish to transfer to another scheduled course date, please request the transfer in writing. Transfers requested seven (7) or more days prior to the course start will generally be processed without additional transfer fees, subject to course availability.
Transfers requested less than seven (7) days prior may be treated as a cancellation and will follow the “No refund” rule, unless otherwise approved by Rescue Plan Enterprise in writing.
All transfers and rescheduling requests are subject to availability and must be confirmed by Rescue Plan Enterprise via email.
Medical emergencies & exceptional circumstances
In the case of documented medical emergencies or other extraordinary circumstances (e.g., sudden hospitalization), Rescue Plan Enterprise may consider a refund or transfer outside of the standard timeline at our sole discretion.
Appropriate supporting documentation (e.g., physician note, hospital records) must be provided within 7 days of the missed course date. Any approved exception will be processed as a refund or transfer less the standard cancellation fee, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Course cancellation by Rescue Plan Enterprise
If Rescue Plan Enterprise cancels a course for any reason, students will be offered either:
a) a full refund, or
b) transfer to an alternative date at no additional fee.
Where a refund is issued by Rescue Plan Enterprise, it will be processed within 7–14 business days to the original payment method.
Fees and taxes
All cancellation fees are subject to applicable taxes (HST). Cancellation receipts will itemize any fees and taxes retained.
Disputes
If you believe a cancellation or refund decision was made in error, contact our office in writing within 14 days of the decision. We will review disputes on a case-by-case basis and provide a written response.
Prerequisite Requirements & Certification Submission
● You must meet all prerequisite requirements to attend your course.
● You are required to submit copies of your current certifications via email before the course start date.
● Failure to meet prerequisite requirements or provide required documents will result in forfeiture of all fees with no refunds or transfers.
Prerequisite overview
Certain courses require that participants hold valid, current certifications prior to attending (for example: instructor courses, recertification prerequisites, or advanced modules). The specific prerequisites for each course are listed on the course description and in your booking confirmation.
What you must submit
Before the course start date, participants must submit clear copies (PDF, JPG, PNG) of relevant, current certifications, licences, or proof of prerequisite training to the email address provided in the registration confirmation. Acceptable file formats: PDF, JPG, PNG. File size limit: 10 MB per file.
The submission email must include: participant full name, course name, course date, and a legible copy of the prerequisite document(s).
Submission deadline
All prerequisite documents must be received no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled course start time unless otherwise stated in your course confirmation. Late submissions may not be accepted and may result in denial of course admission.
Verification process
Rescue Plan Enterprise will verify submitted documents for authenticity and current validity. Verification may include cross-checking certificate numbers, issuing agency, or contacting the issuing body. We reserve the right to refuse a document we reasonably consider invalid, expired, or fraudulent.
Consequences of missing or invalid documentation
Failure to meet prerequisite requirements or provide required documents will result in forfeiture of all fees with no refunds or transfers. In other words, if you arrive without the required documentation or your submitted documentation cannot be verified as valid, you will not be permitted to complete the course and no refund or transfer will be issued.
If you believe your documentation has been rejected in error, you may submit an appeal to Rescue Plan Enterprise in writing within 7 days of the notice. Appeals must include clarifying documentation and any supporting evidence.
Partial attendance / participation-only outcomes
In limited cases where a participant’s documentation is acceptable but they cannot meet practical prerequisites, Rescue Plan Enterprise may offer a participation-only outcome (attendance acknowledged but full certification withheld) until prerequisite requirements are satisfied.
Privacy & handling of submitted documents
Any personal certifications or documents submitted for verification are handled according to our Privacy Policy. Documents are stored securely and only used for verification and certification issuance. We will not share your documents with third parties except as required by law or for verification purposes with issuing agencies.
How to submit
Email required documents to the address specified in your booking confirmation (include full name, course, and date in the subject line). You will receive an email confirmation once your documents have been received and verified.
Replacement / expired certificates
If your submitted certification is expired or nearing expiry and requires renewal prior to the course, you must obtain the valid prerequisite certification before attending. Rescue Plan Enterprise can offer guidance on required steps or direct you to an appropriate course for renewal.
